in video mode go to Menu > Camera Menu > then go to the microphone icon between Metering and Fulltime AF > set to On

and now it should work :)

i found out the prob allready, just can't seem to explain it lol.

Just go to the store you bought it from(if you didn't buy it from the internet) and ask help for there.

i've got the 565 and it doesn't record any sound with the videos either :(

i thought mine was defective but it seems they're all like that.

Hi,

Just a quick note-the video states that the camera takes an SD card. In fact it takes an xD card. The xD card also allows you to create really cool panoramas.

i bought this camera 2 months ago and i am satisfied about it... it really works good and until now i haven't had any problems.. i really like it

i have this amera but now the battery case has broken and is being held together with tape is it me or when u put ur batteries into this camera does ur battery case stick up because of the force, not only this but the camera uses soooo much batteries its crazy...does any1 know where i an get it fixed

Found the focal length place and now i can film with sound.

1) Switch to video mode. I suppose, zoom automatically will be changed to 1x.

2) Enter menu and switch the sound on. I had a luck to check sp-550 today, it was so, I can't remember exactly now, where you can turn on sound recording, but it's easy, there is a special icon near this option like in all other olympus cameras.

I don't understand what does this feature with focal length means (I had only read it somewhere), but you certainly have to check sound recording in menu.
