You say they lower "gun" murders but what about murders in general. That's the point im making. No shit "gun" murders would go down if u stripped all the guns away. But what about murders in general? The fact is if you want somebody dead enough you can kill them with anything. You don't need a gun. That guy in Newport could have used a bomb made out of store bought items and killed just as many or more people. He could have stabbed 20 kids with a sharpened stick. People kill not guns.

What is the use of a gun? To kill... that saying about "people kill people" thing, is a fallacious statement in that a person CAN kill another person with a gun and on many occasions a person has killed another person either on purpose or by accident. It's not idiotic to think that changing gun laws will change anything because other countries similar to ours have proven that they can have comprehensive gun regulation and have lower gun deaths than the US.

Yeah ur right since hes been president he has shut up about guns. he was a little more open about his views on them before he was running for president. But the dems have been very open about creating strict gun laws. And only an idiot thinks that changing guns laws is going to change anything. The Clinton ban doesn't take a single gun off the street it just prevents new ones from coming on. And besides a gun has never killed anybody. People kill people and they would with or without guns.

Next time one of the guns rights extremists say "guns don't kill, people kill". Just tell them, "yeah, glasses don't see, eyes see." Let's go tell somebody wearing glasses that instruments don't enhance eyesight capability. They are absolute crackpots.

Furthermore, the assumption that we think we can eliminate crime by outlawing guns is asinine. We're not trying to eliminate it, we're trying to make it extremely difficult for criminals to obtain guns. 20 children were massacred by another madman with a semi-auto. It is morally inconceivable to not take any protective measures, as it would've been after the terrorist attacks to not have any airport security. The majority of Americans don't own guns and are pro-gun control.

You're spot on accurate. If you have less legal guns then there will be less guns entering the black market and consequently less outlaws owning guns. Think about it. Nations with very strict gun control laws such as the UK, Australia, and Japan have much lower gun crime rates than the US. The most probable explanation for this is that criminals in the US have much greater access to guns due to less gun control. It's obvious how absurd this assumption is.
