Mascara is Mascara!

Mascara commercials drive me Crazy!
Mascara prices drive me nuts!
Mascara in general is pretty much all the same!
Most of the time you are paying for a Fancy Brush and a Name Brand!

I have worked for three high end makeup counters, I have tried all the expensive mascara's and I have learned that after nine years of over paying for mascara I still love my Voluminous my $9 Loreal (drugstore) mascara is my favorite!

Mascara commercials are so fake! They make it look like your lashes are going to touch your brow bone! I used to believe it! But every time and went and bought it and every time it was just  my same old lashes but darker! Only when I use lash primer or a lash curler would I get a result I desired!

From the over priced brands to the drugstore brands with the vibrating mascara brush Wow! I mean how cool is a vibrating brush, however it doesn't really make a difference!

My best advice is if you want eyelashes from a commercial or ad,stick to what you trust and go buy a couple packs of cheap false lashes! Its a lot less frustrating and much less expensive!

Now I am not targeting any certain company cause they all have lovely products, it's ultimately up to you! Makeup is expensive so I love saving money on cosmetics! It's hard to cut corners especially as a Makeup Artist!

I would also encourage you to check it out for yourself take the challenge try a drugstore brand that is comparable to your current mascara! You will see what I mean!

If you check out the Cosmetic Beauty Awards for the last ten years Maybelline Mascaras will weigh in at least at #3 if not #1

As of 1971 Maybelline sold a tube of mascara every 1.5 seconds!

Thats not the most interesting thing I found out though....

Did you know that Maybelline and  Lancome are owned by LOREAL!!!!!!!!?????

Now thats something to think about!

I love great lash. I have my favorite brushes I clean, keep, and use from previously bought mascaras lol. But my fave is great lash, it lasts forever.

Wow! Finally a beauty guru who understands this! :) Although the reason high end mascaras are expensive is because if you have a company like Dior makeup and their makeup is expensive but their mascara is $5 somehow I don't think that would go down well. However I totally agree with you!

I'm glad you made this video because I've used Ulta brand, NYC brand, Wet n Wild brand, Maybelline, Cover Girl, and the only difference is the voluminous mascara formulas are thicker than the lengthening mascara formulas. Other than that, they all made my lashes look the same & they all went bad around 3 months. (when mine start to smell funny -3 months- I toss them out!)

I LOVE Voluminous Carbon Black as well. I used it just ONCE and I noticed how FULLER and THICKER and DARKER and NOTICEABLE my lashes became. it is truly amazing. (:
