Didn't know you were from Canada. But that film was released in Spain either.

Princess and the Frog and Coraline are the two I enjoyed.

If the Best Picture nominees limit was 10 films way back years and years ago, I'm sure there would have been WAAYY more animated Best Picture nominees released by Pixar, Disney, and possibly even Dreamworks.

You relesed this on my birthday I don't know why i'm so proud of that.

My Mom love Up, My brother loved Mr Fox, Coraline was so creative, I loved The Princess and The Frog, Secret of Kells, I never saw it but I would loke to see it.

@4everinthetwilight disney still releases amazing movies

Pixar is the only thing keeping Disney is buisness now. I mean the movies they produce aren't like they used to in the 20th century. Pixar still has the magic.

I agree as well. Who's honestly going to remember the Crazy Heart theme? Or whatever won the year the 3 songs from Enchanted were nominated (See? Even I can't remember!) I'm glad 2009 was a very successful and diverse year for animated features, and I'm happy Up won, even though I could see it coming and wanted Princess and the Frog to win. In fact maybe they should just give Pixar it's own award category because it wins almost every time its nominated xD

2010 has also been an outstanding year for animated films, too! (My absolute favs are How to Train Your Dragon, Megamind, and Toy Story 3.) Although 2009 will always stand out as the year with the diversity of animated techniques.
Are you thinking about doing an opinion piece for the 2010 animated films before the Oscars?

2009 seemed to be a great year for animation. Glad to hear the results. I hope Up and PatF wins some awards. Quick question: Have you seen the 2009 Disney's Christmas Carol? It's still animation. If you did see it, where would you put it with the other animations?

Well, I haven't seen that one, but with the christmas carol, it's like if you've seen one, you've seen them all. But I did see some trailers of it. As of where would I put it, if you mean what kind of animation, I'd put it in the Motion Capture section. It's where he ENTIRE film is animated by motion capture who record the actor's movements. Examples in this category include Monster House and The Polar Express.
