See http://appliedcolors.com/onecar.html to buy a deep scratch repair kit for your car. This scratch has exposed bare metal. We first fill with scratch putty, wait 2 minutes, then flatten the putty with Paint Leveler--our proprietary excess paint and putty remover. The job is finished with a small amount of custom matched paint. We've do-it-yourself kits with all the materials you need for less than $40. See website to learn more.

  • No polishing is needed after applying the paint ? .. i see other product that use a "blob eliminator" . In this case is not necessary?

  • @dialog36 No polishing needed. Blob eliminators just smear the paint around.

  • Tried Dr Color Chip paint touch up system. It worked semi well but when dry the color was a different shade than when it was applied. How does this system compare to Dr Color Chip and does the paint match exactly when dry as it does wet? Does this method leave blobs or excess paint run off of drips?

  • @1969jmac Our paint dries the same color wet or dry. You won't get blobs or drips because of how fine-tipped the brush is.

  • If I have got the oem color from my dealer, can I basically skip the mixing? Do I still have to do the red part? A cab scraped my back bumper and I bought the car 2 days ago. =( BRAND NEW!

However, the major scrape was just the clearcoat but there is a small paint scratch that is the size of an ant. Really a size of an ant, what should I do?

  • @lacinderellaphoto First fill with the red putty, then apply your OEM paint. Our deep scratch repair kit (no paint) will work for you. Order by clicking the link in the video's description.
