  • If you don't want to pay higher prices then don't, no one is forcing you to do anything but some people want to know what they put in their body and can respect that an animal gave its life so they could eat. I want them to be as happy and healthy as they can be and I'm willing to pay a few dollars more, maybe I'll spend less on things that don't really affect my health such as clothing and gimmicky apple products

  • @SDFarmWife

There is actually more than enough land. As some other people have said, I would feel better eating meat from an animal that was actually happy and has no hormones or any other nasty chemicals used on. I don't mind paying a few dollars more. It's not like meat is necessary EVERY day. Two or three times a week is enough for me.

  • What I see here is a slick PR campaign skirting the fact that these animals are killed so that their carcasses can be put up for sale.

  • Eating meat is totally natural. It's the circle of life; animals eat each other and we eat them. And honestly, animals preying on other animals is more inhumane than Whole Food's slaughter method. Think of how it feels for animals to be chased down for miles, and be ripped apart by a predator alive. The way Whole Foods does it is really not horrible: let the animals live a happy life as an animal on a pasture, then kill them painlessly. You people need to chills.

  • God bless these farmers that are participating in this. I absolutely love it because I eat meat but hate they way animals are treated on those horrible farms that care nothing for their well being.

Human beings are hardwired in a way that neccesitates the consumption of meat, otherwise they will be B12 deficient which leads to many problems.

  • no matter how humane you keep them, at the end you will kill them & this is inhumane act.

  • What makes you think that the animals we have aren't happy? Yes, we implant our cattle, but that implant is simply filled with natural hormones their bodies are already producing, just in a larger quantity. Plus, by the time it actually makes it to your table there is virtually no hormones left in the product. There is actually more of an estrogenic content in soybeans that there is in beef. Plus, our cattle are happy. They are taken care of first and foremost and receive the best care.

  • A bunch of silly talking heads. You surely don't believe the BS you spew ? You guys need a 12 step program. DEATH pimps.

  • Yes i am sure the animals are happy to be denied their rights to live. Welfarism is just like saying that black slaves were happy to be owned. There is no need for meat in our diet. I am sick and tired of the ignorance of people regarding diet and health. Animal agricuture, according to the United Nations, is responsible for more global warming pollution than all the transportation in the world. Wake up people! Slavery is still slavery even with green pastures.

  • This is a con-job. Google for "Let's Not Give Up Before We Get Started, Part 3 of 4" for direct commentary on this video. (I can't link to it here directly, as youtube blocks it).

Right now there may be more than enough land, but I am talking more so in terms of the future. The world's population will be increasing significantly in the future (I will look for the exact number and post again). The hormones that are implanted into beef are all naturally occurring hormones that gradually decrease over time, there is actually more estrogenic content in peanuts than in implanted beef. I don't disagree with your choices at all, just giving my thoughts too.
