@adafamily - Not true. This was part of The Family sketches on the CBShow. All the CBShows were 1 hour - the syndicated shows were 30 mins. Even the 3 specials were 1 hour. The CBShow ended in '78 and Mama's Family began in '83. The Eunice Special (1981) was a mixture of the sketches, including the death of Thelma Harper and the breakup of Eunice and Ed. It was a precuror to the Mama's Family Show series. All previous live audience Family sketches were part of the CBShow.

This has to be an early Family sketch. They all get along pretty well, not constantly bickering. Mama even has kind words and sympathy for Ed. The early sketches often showed the family having terrific fights which were all forgotten in an instant as soon as some other subject came up. The later sketches also put Vicki Lawrence in a body costume that was more consistent with Mama's stouter frame.

I think it is a newer one.

Does anyone know if this is one of the earlier or later Eunice skits? Eunice has a different hairstyle in this one than in all the other skits Ive seen. Just curious.
Wow, for once, Mama actually smiles. 1:13
