Well, the guy *was* totally complicit in blowing the cover of an active CIA agent. I don't think that's a liberal or conservative thing: it just isn't done, otherwise we might as well not have intelligence services.

I don't quite understand how Novak evaded prosecution when Scooter Libby could not. Was it some kind of immunity deal? Certainly couldn't be innocence: it's ludicrous to believe either didn't know what they were doing.

To bad Novak wasn't the guy who exposed the classified program the Bush administration had to monitor the financial transactions of terrorists.

If he had done that the far left wouldn't be able to stop praising him.

I,m a liberal but it was definitely a cheap shot by James there and he knew Novak had thin skin.Pretty skillfull actually.

For all he dished out, Novak was rather thin-skinned, which made him an easy target.

Carville took a cheap shot for sure, but Novak should have been prepared, especially if he was intent on spinning Cathleen Harris's Senate prospects on the same show with such a known sob.

Novak just died, incidentally. As much as I disagreed with him, he was one of the very few conservatives to speak out against invading Iraq. Took balls, I'll give him that.
