@ricardozyw She never said Stalin was right, if you read her book or watch the documentary you would know that this has nothing to do with Soviet style communism.

According to her Stalin had it right. What a moron...

You don't have to agree with her to admit this is damn good cinematography, which (ironically enough) uses psychology to shock viewers.

@jazzbo66zz there is evil and mad scientists everywhere, someone like you should know better than to generalize, psychology helps alot of people, but leave it to the evil men to use this, as other healthy honest things, agfor for sinister things that you speak of.
Friedman wrote a letter to Pinochet telling him what he recommended should be done with the economy in Chile. Friedman's trained proteges were in Chile ready to institute economic changes. That was done. I don't consider that minor.
Also, I read that Chile would have economically collapsed in the 1980's except Pinochet had never privatized the state copper mine, which generated 85% of the Chile's export revenues. Maybe that was the miracle - that it didn't get privatized.

you're confusing "hard earn(ed) money" with people making out like bandits through rigged systems. in forced economies, people at the top usually didn't earn it. sort of akin to the taxpayer bailouts to Goldman Sachs executives in the US going on today. if it was really free market, that company would already be bankrupt.
are you trying to legitimize pinochet's coup by putting down allende? is legalizing murder and torture in Chile's constitution?
