it seems to me like they just didn't want to deal with the upkeep of the park, maintanance and everyrthing. the guy that owns "woody's: claimed the park never made enough money to self-support. (but I think if they hadn't raised the prices so rediculously in a bad economy time, they could have saved it! (too late tho) and now there's nuthing there but memories (and an occasional wine tasteing festival). EWE!
What a lonely looking park. I've never seen so little people at a park with such awesome-looking rides. I was there the very last Labor Day Weekend they were open... and I only rode one ride. I had no idea at the time that they were going to ruin everything.
Everybody wants things back when they are gone. But it's too late now. The only idea I have is maybe they could have a carnival type event each year and have a company come in and provide rides for people like they do with fairs and such. I think it would bring in some decent business and draw attention.
