This version was inspired both by the wonderful performance of Mr. Keni Lee Burgess and the Taj Mahal version to this classic tune. The Lester Wires Blues Trio clip is taken from a Live performance at the Paint in Tel Aviv.

  • Very cool. I really like the video work. Much more professional than my Windows Movie Maker. Hey, if you ever hit the Big Time, make sure you send old Keni Lee an airplane ticket so I can make an appearance. Enjoy.

  • Thanks for these kind words Keni Lee. It was your Movie Maker work is what has inspired us from the beginning.

I would love to have you on our live acts. If we make it big we'll definitely bring you over.

In the meantime, I can help with the mixing and mastering of your songs, if you wish.

The videos are acquired with a Canon HD camera which gives great results so far, and I am just getting into the video editing bussiness.

  • Thank you Big Daddy ! It's all thanks to you and Kenni Lee who got us hooked on Delta Blues.

  • I like what you're trying to do, but this sounds too painstakingly slow and unnaturally forced for my liking. The voice, to say the least, lacks the natural flow and raw soul that is found within Taj Mahal's effortless performance of Catfish Blues. I think it would sound better were you guys to find the tone of voice that suits this live performance, rather than imitate a style similar to Taj Mahal or Tom Waits. Either that, or you'll have to drink lots more bourbon and smoke far more cigarettes.

  • This version is inspired by more than one version but mostly by the Taj Mahal version with the Zanzibar culture band

    thanks

  • cool music!

  • fantastic!!
