Those 2 are commentators not news reporters
-
New reporters are supposed to be neutral,
all these people are doing is giving opinions.
-
I can just see Glen Beck going to visit Michelle on a concentration camp when our country goes to war with China or North Korea. : )

Wrong, Americans are not the country with the highest voluntarism or charity rate, measured by spent hours per person or share of GDP. Denmark, Sweden and Finland, or Northern European socialistic countries are leading in those statistics.

Huh, weird. Up in Canada, we already have a type of program like this called "Work Study." And for all intents and purposes, it works really well, and gives back to the community to boot.
But then, that's probably why many of us Canadians (not all) are pretty much unfazed by your Capitilist induced recession. We actually "care" about our communites, and not just our greedy asses.
I always knew Malkin was a retard. I just wish she wouldn't kepp proving it over and over and over...

I agree with PureWG, but to clarify, this bill would make it a mandatory commitment of anyone getting a government loan to complete an undisclosed amount of volunteerism. Hence the word volunteer, now becomes moot. It's not just the repayment of the loan but now the mandatory volunteer status, which in my mind negates the word volunteer.
Socialist???
No, volunteering is not bad. Extorting money from a society's citizens (via income taxes) at the point of a gun, to support programs that these taxpayers otherwise would or should not support, is slavery. Slavery can only be enforced at the point of a gun. The question is: at what end of that gun are you?

The original draft of this programmed called for mandatory service for all able bodied young people. The GOP managed to get that portion thrown out. If nobama had his way, ALL young people would be forced to volunteer. Sort of a contrdiction of terms dont you think? Forced volunteerism?
