1A Auto shows you how to save big fixing an old automotive air conditioning system. Replacing an AC compressor on a 10+ year old car may not make sense. This can cost $400-600. If your air conditioning is broken and your compressor makes a lot of noise save yourself lots of money by installing an AC bypass pulley. This pulley costs about $45 installs in place of your compressor and uses the same belt. This pulley works with 1992-2003 Ford Taurus, 1995-1998 Windstar, 1992-2003 Mercury Sable, and 1995-2002 Lincoln Continental.

@dylansmommy7311 We currently do not have a repair video on this particular application. If you have the AC compressor removed, this will bolt right into it's place. Then you can route the serpentine belt as if it were the compressor. We carry the by pass pulley on our website. I'll include a link to them for you. This helped SO much! I had destroyed my a/c compressor and if it wasn't for your video my boyfriend would have spent hours working on my car trying to find a way to get to that compressor! Instead he got it done in 45 minutes :D we will definitely be watching more if your videos for future problems with my 2003 Taurus!
