They contain a 450nm wavelengt diode capable of delivering 1 watt.

Ok first of all 700 mw is not the most powerful in the world, and not even the most powerful you can legally own! bad info... the max mw you can legally own is 1000 mw. Also, my friend is a laser engineer that builds top secret lasers for the military to help cut through steel and disarm in flight missiles... im not talking about a handheld laser because the one that disarms missiles is a giant machine. But cool laser you got there! do you know where i could buy one for under $200?shouldimakeone

the green lasers today are DPSS(diode pumped solit state) lasers and can by built powerfull or not.

But to the human eye green is the most visible and appears much brighter then

blue or red. So an 5mw green lasers looks like an 50mw or so..

I once saw a test with 3 lasers with the same power...and indeed the green one

was mucht brighter.

But they can make from each color powerfull lasers.

But we talking about small powers,in de miliwatt range!

I was just in china and I found a hand held laser pointer that was 2000mw. It will burn through a dollar bill at 20 feet away. And it is blue one. Also bought one that is green and it is 200mw.

Yes, everyone knows that there are lasers that can cut through medal and stuff. I'm pretty sure he/she meant that this is the most powerful handheld laser in the world, which it is. This is more powerful that a 1000mw green laser and i know because I have both. The mW is just the output power, but what really matters is that quality of the laser and the storm series have been proven to be the best hand held quality lasers in the world.
