MR2 Camera Mount Test

This is the first test of my home made video camera mount for my 1989 MR2 SC. The video focus goes in and out, but experimentation will sort that out. Camera is a Samsung SC-MX20. Any advice regarding how to get get the focus to look good?

Thanks for the comments so far. I did another test run the next morning with the focus set manually. This worked much better. Didn't post because these video are only just so interesting, right?

I'll try to get some in car video of some twisty mountain roads once spring is here, though it'll probably be in the s2000, rather than the MR2. :-)

what settings did you use? I just got my camera, same model.

during the night the quality is PURE crap.

also change to Manual focus, and set your focus, inside the car or outside. And for a good light, set to a low shutter speed.

To get the focus sorted out, try mounting the camera higher so it sees less of the interior. Also makes rue your windshield is clean, so it won't focus on the glass. I mount my camera to my passenger seat headrest with Velcro straps, it's just high enough that it does not focus on the dash or other interior.
