@cbiswhite You're right. I'm sure it was hard to spot, keep your balance, and turn while pointing up and down with your fingers/arms. I'll bet that would be easy to throw you off balance. He needed to practice, practice, practice!!

I saw this on Broadway on 4/23/81 with Ted Wass & Diana Canova (from the then-current tv show 'Soap'). Afterwards, I saw both of them at the stage door, got their autographs and had pictures taken with them. I was 16 back then , and it made me a big celeb in high school. Thanks for the memories!

I saw this musical on Broadway, but in 1979 with the original stars robert klein and Lucie Arnaz. I didnt enjoy it because the adult storyline went WAY over my young head (I was 10 years old in 1979)

Haha! The guy dancer on the back row (on the far right) wasn't spotting well for the turn from 0:19-0:20. He was all over the place!

this is the first play i ever saw with except it was with robert kline and lucie arnaz i wish they would bring that play back

Oh, wow, I remember this ad! Those same few lines from the song have been running through my head (not constantly, fortunately) for almost 30 years. Funny, too, how disco crept into everything in the late '70s.

I wish they revived it. God, I wish they would. Did you see the Kennedy Honors of Neil Simon - Klein and Arnaz reprised the roles and brought down the house. It is one of the few shows I don't delted off my DVR.
