ok two things... star fleet has things called shields that provide protection from direct hits well before they fail. the also protect them from random debris. like near the end where that constitution refits nacelle got nicked by random debris. and two warp dive the ships that got destroyed by that shock wave could have warped out of harms way.

@pinoi78 more like executed for incompetence

@Vandrek007 Its from a parody movie called Star Wreck: The Prickeneng. Its totally not meant to be taken seriously. They call the torpedos 'Star balls' and if you look at 1:48, the sovereign fires a full spread at the Excaliburs bridge......those were full of beer in the movie. ^_^

@Bookworm8002 Thanks for clearing that up! :D

This is actually an edit from a full-length high-budget fan film - the name of which escapes me at the moment. This edit cuts out the bridge dialogue. The first time the Sovereign missed, the captain demanded to fire the shots personally, and he failed to lead the target (he's a bit of an idiot). The 2nd time you see that ship firing - at the bridge - one of his subordinates loaded the torpedo tubes with "light beer" instead of "Light Balls" the in-movie name for torpedoes.

This is an edit of a full length high-budget fan film out of Russia. Totally blanking on the name. The in-game logic was that the Starfleet ships entered a "parallel universe" (B5) and that something or other in the new universe made the shields inoperable.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.........

What I'd like to know is how did that Constitution-class ship manage to hit that ship with 4 torpedoes when the Sovereign-class missed it with over a dozen torpedoes? What's that about?!

Fun to watch but as everyone already said, makes little sense cannon wise on both sides...
Federation has far more powerful weapons then shown, as does B5...
Big defining point would be shields, and lacking that Ablative Armor Generator, this I think would allow most federation ships with it to tank most anything B5 had long enough for other ships to take them out.
Transphasic torpedoes would one shot a B5 ship.....
Tricobalt devices have a yield high enough to tear space..
Next B5...:)

@Vandrek007 plus, the defiant, akira, and soveriegn class ships all were outfitted with quantum torpedos. why didnt they show that?
EPIC FIGHT.
BTW....whoever's manning the torpedo launcher on that Sovereign class needs to be fired.

@pinoi78 What I'd like to know, is why a federation fleet is not using any shields?! I love the video, but as big a fan as i am of B5...they'd get torn to shreds by ships a few centuries more advanced with shields that B5 beam weaps would have problems against. Only the Excaliber class and the WhiteStars would have a chance.
On the other hand...the Shadow ships might give the Federation trouble with their antimatter beams(not sure how that works but it's what the books say they have) =)
