I saw a couple videos with both Vitalij and Malmsteen live, so he did tour with Malmsteen for sure, I'm still googling trying to get more information :)
Yea Vitalij is a kick ass shredder, but still his talent counts, he got some pretty ass-kicking slow and fast tracks on his albums.

Derek Sherinian is great, but wouldn't work for Malmsteen, only a crazy freaking keyboardist like Vitalij Kuprij would fit for Malmsteen ;)

I forgot how Sherinian is amazing. He's a master in mixing all his influences : prog, metal, fusion, neo classical a la Yngwie.

@Rhamsody ...I think it's pretty good......Definately does not have this sound......very Fusionesque............great overall IMO.
