Nail How-to: Tribal Art Manicure Tutorial

Step 1: Select 4 contrasting vibrant nail colors of your choice. We used Sephora by OPI Nail Colour in Hi Def, Iris I Was Thinner, Read My Palm, and IM Beauty (http://seph.me/144PVCW).
Step 2: Apply a base coat to your nails. We used Sephora by OPI Base Coat (http://seph.me/141SPcG)
Step 3: Get creative and stagger your nail polish colors. Start by painting the first color at the base of the nail in a horizontal stripe in an opaque layer. Then, continue adding on stripes in different colors until each nail is completed with your 4 colors. TIP: If you have a shorter nail length, use 3 colors instead.
Step 4: Let dry for 10 minutes.
Step 5: The design step should be done nail by nail. Start by placing a drop of black nail polish on a paper towel nearby. We used Sephora by OPI Nail Colour in What's a Tire Jack (http://seph.me/144PVCW). Use the paint brush from the Sephora Collection Nail Art Set (http://seph.me/SxHXjh) and gently dip into the polish. Outline each horizontal stripe with a black line. Then get creative by making different tribal patterns on each color layer. Repeat for each nail. TIP: The brush will dry out quickly, so be sure to have some nail polish remover handy to clean your brush between nails.
Step 6: Let dry for 3 minutes.
Step 7: Apply a clear top coat for a finishing touch. We used Sephora by OPI Top Coat (http://seph.me/We80fx)
