  • due to the privatization of water/services,they now naturally have a monopoly...the "cartellists" hold complete sway as to who gets what, and where.to believe that these artificially-precipitated water shortages/crisis/droughts are anything but ,surely indicates the true level of ignorant idiocity that is common-place amongst the general world-wide populace.

  • Why not put a mesh sheet infront of the pumps

  • @zz8494 Yes that is part of it but there is not enough water to flush it out. As they say in the video salt intruding from the ocean, also doesn't help. Some times when they turn on the pumps it actually reverses the flow of the rivers around that area

  • California is running out of water Full Stop. Pumping aquifers dry and squandering it on golf courses, swimming pools and generally wasting it is not going to work. Get real, fit meters and start conserving it.

  • "a dry or drought condition"

And what is the cause of that dry or drought condition? Research has shown that historically current natuarl water levels are normal. The end of the 20th century was very wet in comparison to normal conditions, and the cause of the drought is water over exploitation.

  • Farming in the north should take priority over people owning swimming pools and golf courses. How can they say they are using water efficiently when they are losing so much of it through evaporation from swimming pools and lawns?

  • Each home could collect and conserve enough water from rains to water and maintain their homes

  • Do they consider the pollution from the various cities that recirculate treated water into the delta as the possible cause vs the pumps. High concentrate of arsenic and aluminum could cause the reductions of the species.

  • There's no real difference in how much precipitation California has received over the last two-hundred years. The problem is how water is abused. Especially in southern California. Read "Cadillac Desert" and learn the truth.
