Twas The Night Before Christmas: Cheese Style

Twas the night before Christmas and near Taco Bell.
Government Cheese was a cravin' a burrito done well.
So he jumped in his car, but it wouldn't start
Just the thought of no tacos dern near broke his heart!
He had an idea 'cause he wasn't dumb.
He stepped on the sidewalk and stuck out his thumb.
Three cars passed by but none of them stopped.
When the fourth came up to him, in the road he hopped!
The man swerved to miss him, thank goodness in time,
For a "Run For The Border", Cheese paid him a dime!
Just when the Cheese thought he had good luck,
The man said, "I'm sorry, it appears we are stuck!"
The snow was a fallin' and time running out!
Old Cheese was wonderin' and startin' to doubt!
Would he ever again eat a chalupa so tasty?
Had he been too greedy or perhaps a bit hasty?
Frustrated enough to pull out his hair,
He looked and saw Santa way up in the air.
St. Nick looked down and saw Government Cheese,
And Cheese said, "Hey Santy can I hitch a ride, please?"
St. Nicholas swooped down and picked up his friend
And bought him ten tacos and ten more he'd send.
Then as quick as he came, he flew out of sight.
"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!"
