  • What's that siren for before the trucks leave?

  • @box15c22 its to warn drivers on the road that they are gonna pull out

  • @kalahiki808 why doesnt The fire department Have some marine-firefighting boats boats that are in the water full time like FDNY's Firefighter II.

  • @fresh5951 they do. but it wasnt needed in this rescue call as the boat was overturned and not on fire :)

  • Big problem with electronic sirens : you cannot hear them from the sides at an intersection, since the speakers project the sound straight ahead.

  • @k0smon any speaker will project the sound in the direction it faces...

  • @kalahiki808 Doesn't HFD a fireboat similar to the FDNY's one? I think it was called the "Moku Ahi" I think... We only have one of those though...

  • @kalahiki808 why doesnt The fire department Have some marine-firefighting boats that are in the water full time like FDNY's Firefighter II.

  • @MrFerrara112 HFD also uses Seagraves, but they're used as reserves. Most are used nowadays...

  • Most of the trucks out there are Pierce Quantum and a few Spartans

  • @garlic287 In Hawaii, most times you would see Heavy Rescue Trucks towing a boat, no matter what the situation.

  • that response siren encourages the fire fighters to respond quicker: they dont have to listen to it as long it's sooooo annoying.

    but, great vid man!
