again, thanks for this documentary, englishbobfilms. enjoyed very much. glad i fixed the sound in order to hear. i find bukowski to be a man of contradictions with much truth in it. i don't know how to explain, maybe in a taoist kind of way--you know, the yin yang thing. anyway, good health to you and bye.

One of the few poets in the history of the world that truly lived his poetry. Never said a bad word about anybody that wasn't true and openly spoke about and reflected on the world and his coping with it. Try to get that from a writer publishing in an academic journal or a wanna-be poet attending an MFA program. I"m not saying they're all like this, but there's enough like this to affirm what Bukowski said about people. They're hounds and bloodsuckers.

Best Bukowski Doc out there. Thanks for putting this up.  The man's work means a hell of alot to me. He's one of my Gods, and yet the warts and all portrayal of the man did nothing to diminish the work, it supported it. Bukowski's right, he's got it.

Thank you so much for uploading this great documentary...but, if you want to know Bukowski I believe it's as simple as this read him. Read his poetry, his novels and his stories and in the end it doesn't matter who Bukowski was or what he did or how ugly or beautiful, it's the word and the man worked his nuts off to get the word nailed to the page. The honesty, the pain and all the beauty in life is in his words. The rest is dust....Hank, thanks...A
