From the 1978 album Impeckable

I know what I want and I'm able to grow it
But fashion dictators believe that you own it
Material things ain't got the last laugh girl
The pyramid way is a thing of the past girl

The way people try to escape only I'll know
The latest in style is a pyramid of love
The light, the light that is calling me home
Pyramids, don't you think you're a dead stone

  • Parents, is awesome, But what got me hooked was I can,t see my feelings} Breadfan, Who do you want, And You gotta love the black velvet Stallion} But Budgie is one of those bands that brings you in with versatility and then will crush you with riff, lick kikkin ass grooves!! I think Impeckable Is one of their best endevours...

  • @Danz4251 Yes! Impeckable is also my favorite album. For some reason most of Budgie fans don't like it (Parents, I Turned To Stone and Breadfan is what defines Budgie for most of people but it's so much more to them). I love Bourge's guitar on it, his experimentation with funky gave produced great unique sound.

  • @smilingeuterpe my favorite album also... you have Good Taste...

  • @Theskybluelake It takes one to know one LOL Thanks man :)

  • Great opening riff. Tony Bourge deserves way more respect !

  • @lewisbolwell Thanks for the comment. Very true. Top class band with a so unique sound.

  • I remember walking into a record store in a very unsober state and buying this purely off the album art. Never regretted that decision!

  • @smilingeuterpe BUDGIE, whose only mistake was to give themselves a silly name.. Otherwise the'd be up there with Zep,and Sabbath.. I've seen 'em many times and NO-ONE is louder or heavier and more beautifully subtle (parents is as good as Stairway..).

  • @semahnai Yes, that was the song that got me hooked in the first place!!

  • @modicastar have you heard PARENTS by Budgie?
