.....@brandonparker4u Ohio had huge numbers of soldiers that served in the war. You will have a chance to find relics at any of the old homes where one might have lived. Plus, there are many camps in the state you can research. I wish you luck!

Exquisite find my friend! I am 15 years old, and you have inspired me to go hunting for Civil War relics, I have been wanting to search for em but hesitated.. Also, I live in Ohio so, its gonna be difficult... But if I find anything i'll be sure to share the video with you aquachigger

Im a huge fan of you aquachigger just 15, i just bought my fight metal detector today because u have inspired me. Will i have good findings if i used to find old arrowheads in my yard?

@SuperAlexMoore Thanks! The more you go out and look, the better your "luck" will be. Keep your eyes open for arrowheads, but because they are not metal, the detector will not find them. Good luck out there!

@willam1992 I do. But to be honest, stuff like this musket could have washed down the river from miles above. So, the location of the find can be of limited value.

We found some in the water and they were all bent as well. An old timer had told us when they were reissued supplies they would hit the barrell on a tree bend it and throw it in the river so it could not be used against them by the enemy.

.....@crash14me2 I'd believe that as I have found several other barrels there that are bent just like that. The wood was gone on them, but I did manage to get most of the pieces to them too. Thanks for the info!
