  • Where did u get the wires from i need a good set ?

  • @amcbiga Advanced Auto Parts, NGK Wires, $70, Lifetime Warranty

  • if ur timing goes bad does that make ur car not start?? because I was driving and it mad that noise and my car just shut off, and it wouldnt start back..

  • @pheonixltt Yes. You could hope that changing your timing belt would start the car back up because one of my friend's did that with his Acura Integra, but if it doesnt start then you most likely bent a valve (I think).

  • haveu changed ur timing belt yet? the powersterring pump makes a constant whining sound when its about the go out, and especially when u turn. I would be worried, check ur timing belt if u have not changed it already.

  • yea, when i took it to the shop they said it wasnt power steering, it was the timing belt. they said they tightened the belt and its going to make that noise for about a month until it stretches out.

  • Some worn bearings. not in your engine but the bearing from the belt tensioner

  • Mine just started making this exact same noise! So if I take it in and have the timing belt replaced it should take care of it? I also noticed the idle seems low and it almost quits if it's in part and I rev the motor and take my foot totally off the excelerator. It almost dies or does die in that situation. Might be a totally different problem thou and not associated with this noise. Any feedback welcome. I hate going in and getting ripped off because I don't know what is actually wrong :/

  • it sounds like a space ship huh? haha i had my timing belt changed too and it did that for about a month also but its all good now

  • is that normal?

  • @GreddyAccord99 hey quick question, i just had mine replaced (along with the water pump), did it actually stop making that noise after a month?

  • @ebradahusla Timing belts whine when there new and tight, it quiets when it stretch's. if you've put an intake on your car that will make it louder cause stock intake's are meant to quiet chatter from in the motor. Also making sure your oils changed can quiet it down. DONT put anything thick in your motor such as lucas oil, or even heavy oils. maintain use of a thinner oil and stay consistent. Regular tune ups will help keep it running smooth and make sure your timing is still on point!

  • @GreddyAccord99 My car used to idle quietly like a new car does, without hearing much, but now it makes noise kinda like yours. Could that be the timing belt? You could barely hear it idling while inside and now I can hear it. I got the 2.2l Vtec.

  • @pheonixltt no your timing belt can go bad in 2 ways 1. its so old and crappy it snaps and the valves smash into the pistons 2.if its a really bad quality one and the teeth on it wear down and then when you accelerate hard it slips and throws your cam timing way out also causing the valves to smash into the pistons.
