Katie B does not and did not run the band. Ogilvie did. He also was involved with Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson. You can see the similarity in video and music styles. Also, as of Spring 2007 Katie B left Jakalope to pursue a solo career. If you listen to her album it is an entirely different style which IMO is far more suited to her background and her startings. Please excuse this one intelligent post on Youtube.

I miss Katie B as the lead singer of Jakalope. It seemed like a nice juxtaposition between her and Dave Ogilvie, as she appeared light and wholesome and fun to corrupt in the videos, while Dave was backing her with a harder and dark beat behind her vocals. But, I am open to change I guess...I'm just sayin'.

I don't which singer they have, I like Chrystal just as much as Katie and I like the new album musically, but dear God I wish they had stuck to this sort of a vibe and aesthetics for the new videos instead of whatever martyrdom morality play kick they're on these days.

This video is really cool, ditto "Feel It" an "Pretty Life" and "Go Away" etc.

I miss Katie I felt like her voice just really suited and fit with jakalope but her new solo career is very fitted at well i am just not fond of the new singer Chrystal which is unfortunate because I really did want to like her.

@Dangaard10: Katie B dropping out of this style just makes one less woman in the rock music camp, and that just makes me a little disappointed. Not all women should have to do soft, poppy music just because they are women. That is just sexist. There, I said it.

@Dangaard10: I just listened to one of Katie B's solo songs for the first time, and I admit that it was quite good, and she certainly has a beautiful singing voice. But I also have to say that I am quite disappointed that she is not a "rocker chick" anymore. Rock and metal are mostly my "thing" and I seriously wish there were more women who took an interest in the genres of rock and metal and did really cool rock and metal music.
