Rickles did a spoof of this comeercial on a Bob Hope special, where Hope opens the door. Hope made fun of this commercial when he was roasted on "The Dean Martin Celebrity Roast" where he disses Don by saying "Don, I'm surprised you're doing commercials for Right Guard. You should be on for Raid!"
LOL-I say this to myself alot!I remember it so vividly. He had another one also when it ended"What are they tryin to do to me?Im just tryin to make people sweat alittle"Thanx for puttin that on.
In the late 70's I saw a videotape of OUTTAKES from this commercial. Rickels ribbing the cameramen & director & cracking wise. It was the funniest F-ing thing I ever saw. ANYONE OUT THERE have those out-takes???
There was another one where DOn Rickles is talking to the Right Guard President over the phone, at the end he says "You keep selling right guard, and YOU! Can pay for my mother's apartment in Miami Beach!" Slam! The look on his face at the end is totally priceless!

HAHA! Gotta love it. Don Rickles + a can of deodorant + a door = first class, high quality, affective advertising.
