Tutorial for turning the FS eye visible at all times for two different colored eyes and vertexing into things to bypass mirrored textures.

*Note: It doesn't always work when switching with the YRotN bone index. You may have to try a different bone.*

  • Snake is one of the few characters who's face texture is not mirrored, so the eyepatch thing was already doable, but aside from that this was an amazing tutorial.

  • @maniclehedgehog

The only difference was that giving him a real, solid eyepatch isn't doable. Even if textured, It wouldn't cover his eye unless you vertexed all of his face polygons to work for this. With this, just make his FS eye textured dark, hex one off FS eye, and vertex the other one. That would be the quickest and easiest way to give him a real eyepatch. Sacrificing an FS eye isn't too big of a loss anyway.

  • @zanzaroxas Will this work with ike? keeping one of his eyes closed?

  • @KokoroNoSama

Well if you only wanted 1 eye closed, you should hex out that eye and vertex his eye closed. :P

  • @zanzaroxas !? seriously... but I would have to vertex each of his faces right?

  • @KokoroNoSama

Yeah, just close it on all faces.
