About Pt.Jayant Naik: Born in 12/10/1956.He is working as a A grade tabla artist in A.I.R.Jalgaon since from 25 years. Born in a musical family. His grandfather Trambak Naik was a tabla player. He is an accomplished tabla artist, soloist.Awards: TAALMANI award of SUR SINGAR SANSAD ,special prize in TABLA ALANKAR.Performances: He has performed in various concerts like BHUSAWAL SANGEET SAMMELAN in 1980,1985,1990,1995. BALGANDHARVA SANGEET SAMMELAN at Jalgaon. He has performed at NCPA Mumbai,Neharu Centre Mumbai also.Classical Accompaniments: He has accompanied a number of great artist in various concerts like he has done near about 40 concerts with Late Pt. Jitendrabua Abhisheki,Pt. Gajananbua Joshi,Pt.Ajay Pohankar, Pt.Ajay Chakraborthy,Prabhakar Karekar,Late Pt.Kumar Gandharva,Pt.Kartik Kumar,Pt.Rajan-Sajan Mishra,Gokul Utsav Maharaj,Shaunak Abhisheki,Dhruba Ghosh,Ashwini Bhide,Devaki Pundit,Padmatai Talwalkar.He has performed special accompaniment with Ustad.Mustafa Ali Khan (sitar).He has performed solo in front of Ustad Zakir Hussain in LOKMAT VARDHAPAN DIN.Light Music,Gazals Accompaniments: During the service carrier he accompanied with so many light musical,gazals artists at A.I.R. Jalgaon like Pt.Hridaynath Mangeshkar,Shri.Ravindra Sathe,Smt.Uttara Kelkar,Smt.Shubha Johsi,Smt.Sarita Bhave,smt.Shama Chittar,Smt.Aparna Mayekar,Smt.Padmaja Phenani Joglekar,smt.Anuradha Marathe,Ravindra Bijur,Ahmad Hussain-Mohammad Hussain & many moreHe has Performed with Local artist in the jalgaon city. Also given his Tabla Solo performances in A.I.R. Jalgaon & in private concerts. Tabla Guidance: He received early training in childhood from Shri.Vijayji Hingane theirafter, Ustad.Haider Sheikh & shri. Vinayakji Phatak as well as later guided by Pt.Nana Muley & Taalyogi Pt. Sureshdada Talawalkar.He is the 1st student of Sureshdada.He known the 1st discipline of Taalyogi Pt.Sureshdada Talwalkar who has guiding him since from1978.He adopted LAYA-TAAL-VICHAR as basic concepts & silent features about tabla performance arts from Pt.Sureshdada Talwalkar.Besides he added his own thinking & research in KHAND JATI TEEN TAAL, TISTRA JATI RUPAK TISTRA JATI ZAPTAAL.Now he is extending his knowledge to his students as a GURUSHISHYA PARAMPARA.
