@cerealkiller1124 I guess it's easy to be a "good person" when the person is the one making the rules. It's not our place, however, to make the rules. Something is "good" according to how well it fulfills the purpose for which it was designed, so only the one who creates and instills that purpose can say what is good, and that is God (Isaiah 45:19). Have you ever asked why the "Golden Rule" is fundamental to most religions? God built it into us upon creation, as his image bearers (Rom 2:14-15).

@DoulosEudoxus Thankfully, as pagans we don't have to worry about concepts like original sin and guilt of the soul incurred from a Bronze Age decree of taboos. Speaking for myself only, the tenets I hold to tell me not to harm myself or others. Adherance to that fundamental idea is found in most religions. I believe in Christianity it is called the "Golden Rule". However, it is not my intent to judge or criticise your spiritual path. As I stated before, choose what feels best for you.

@cerealkiller1124 You're referring to Matt 7:20. Though Jesus would consider pagan fruits to be bad fruits. In a nutshell, "whatever is not of faith is sin" (Romans 14:23). You say to look at your works and judge you... But looking at and relying on our own works-righteousness is what would condemn any of us, "for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). We can all look at the 10 commandments and see where we've failed. Especially in the first commandment.

i am atheist. But i have strong beliefs in mother nature, the power of animals, the power of the stars and the universe. Of coarse human energy and karma. I have never believed in "god" All i see is contradictions in catholic/christian. I do have certain rituals like trying to connect with nature in many different ways. Ide like to learn more about the wolven cross i've heard about it's symbolism with vikings. Independence, finding yourself, try to better your daily life is what life is about.

@taramama3 Exploration and seeing for yourself will help you decide what is right for you. Do not let anyone hold you back. Life is fleeting and needs to be lived.

@taramama3 I am from a Christian family and I was forced to hide my belifs while I lived with them, hiding it from my parents made me feel guilty but I knew the path I had chosen was right for me. When I was at home I researched and decided what I believed and defined my path ("know thy path"). However I didn't practice at home because I respected their beliefs. I'm not encouraging you to defy your parents, especially as a pagan, you should respect them and their beliefs.

@taramama3 Many of us have been raised in families or cultures where pagans are seen as evil or "devil-worshippers". One thing I have often said to folks who leap to criticize is actally from the Bible. There is a passage which says you will know a tree by the fruit it bears. Judge me according to my acts, not by your preconceptions regarding my beliefs. Honestly, I didn't "come out" about being pagan until I had moved away from my family into my own place. Choose what feels best for you.
