  • I acquired a sleeping system from the Marine Corps. Completely comfortable in while camping at the foot of Mt. Whitney in temperatures as low as 23F. The key is sleeping with hardly any clothing on. I wonder if these things work in the same manner.

  • @bisquik3006 I was taught the same thing growing up. My brothers and I used to laugh when our Dad told us we would be warmer in our sleeping bags if we stripped down to our base layer. In this test, I left my clothes on assuming I would do the same thing in an emergency. I sleep in my base layer when using my Snug pak sleeper lite bag.

  • Nice test. I'd be interested to see how the larger bivy works out. BTW - Lib looks like a good dog.
