@MaskedMan66 The guy says "welcome to Butlins". Butlins is a cheap(ish) holiday place (it cant really be described as a resort) in the uk with on site fair rides and 'entertainment'. The idea was to provide affordable holidays but they're pretty crap. The joke is that the 2 Ronnies punishment for escaping the pow camp is being stuck in Butlins. i.e that Butlins is worse than Colditz.

Re the butlins gag, a lot of the butlins camps were old p.o.w camps, they still had the barbed wire around the perimiters, now the joke here is that when you saw the people inside they all had miserable looks on there faces and were all just walking around aimlessly. Dont know if its still like that but back in the sixtys it was.

I think there's an audio when said elusive scientific adviser does turn up at Colditz. If memory serves I think the cast list of that episode also includes a certain Mr Tennant in German mode.

yes I think some landing practice may be in order. Up on the tables everybody and jump off. Please be careful though, we cant afford to lose any of you at this stage in the proceedings.
