This is my first youtube video, so I hope it is up to par for what most of you are used to seeing. I discuss my new Glock 17 Gen 4; shooting, new and not so new features and flaws, and furture upgrades I would like to do to the gun. I am going to focus on future upgrades and newer features. I have seen alot of reviews and a few range time videos, but no one is talking about upgrades. I thought that many of you would enjoy this video and some may hate me for trying to make "Glock Perfection" even better.

  • how do you like the rough grip? no blisters after shooting it for a long time?

  • @AdverbAdjective The texture is very improved over the Gen 3 pistols i.m.h.o. It is not as rough as the RTF Gen 3 guns either, kind of a good in between. I really hate grip tape, so I prefer firearms that have aggressive stippling or some other kind of rough surface. On the other hand, RTF is too aggressive for me. I know, I am kink of a bitch, but the Gen 4 is the best I have found yet. The XDM is pretty good too. Have you tried it?

  • as for using the slide release in critial incedents or high stress situations its use less man ..... not just on glocks using that is a fine motor skill do some research on what youre body does in those situations......youre heart rate will be well beyond 145 bpm where you will start losing youre fine and sometimes even somewhat youre gross motor skills

  • @bratland33 I would really like to know how many people YOU personaly have shot with MY g17 gen 4. Extended controls and custom triggers can transform a firearm. I am never planning on using my g17 in a personal defence situation. I do the best that I can as far as training and prepairing, but NOBODY is going to tell me that there is a best way to use my personal defense system. I train more than any law enforcement unit and probably more that any military unit with pistols. We make our own fate!

  • GLOCK WIT SF, STANDS FOR SHORT FRAME JUST THOUGHT YOU MIGHT WANNA KNOW. caps aree just so you see the message lol.

  • @glockem100 I knew that man, thanks for the info though.

  • @AdverbAdjective Glock makes a +2 extension for any of their mags making it a 19+1

  • Glock designed the slide lock to be just that...A SLIDE LOCK! Always train to power stroke your weapon!! WAY more reliable/faster than using a slide release.

  • one of the best pistols in the world

  • The Gen 4 Glock 17 feels so good in my hand and in my opinion is Perfectly balanced.

Not a revolution but evolution by Glock.

It is as close to perfect as a 9mm can get.

  • just askin i have a gen 3 glock 17 that i have been using for some gssf events but is the only difference between 4 and 3 cosmetic such as slide and grip

  • Respond to this video... no offense but why do you use the first 45 seconds to apologize and talk about how you could make videos like other people? just get on with the video next time. no one wants to listen to you whining.

  • @bratland33 youre just repeating what you've heard from trendy people. In a gunfight seconds can mean the difference between life and death. using a slide stop to close the slide IS FASTER THAN PULLING THE SLIDE BACK MANUALLY. if you CAN do it then hit the lever. if you know you CANT, then do it the other way. By the way, pulling the slide back is NOT A GROSS MOTOR SKILL. it is a fine motor skill. an example of a gross motor skill would be walking or waving your arms. not a small grab and pull.

  • @jfreeze2685 i like how the xdm holds more rounds but that was about it. i looked at one when i was looking for my first handgun purchase, went with a m&p .40 which i really like. now i want to add a 9mm and am really leaning towards the glock 17 gen 4. shot a px4 storm too, it was alright but didn't really care for it.
