This has to stop:
Is there any one out there who polices the church because there should be. When 'it is done in the so called name of Jesus' then it seems that no one bothers to check out the methods being used to brainwash these kids. Its about money and unless Jesus himself 'pops in' then it seems they can get away with anything and everything.

I became an atheist about 2 years ago, and this is what I grew up with. I'm still weirded-out by the "miracles" (I've heard the "my arm grew x inches!!!" claim several times from different people). This is no different than extremist Islam. They believe that they are doing the true will of god. The only thing we can do is make sure that they never gain traction in mainstream culture.

@anthfantastic It is worse than that. They lie about tithing, about God's prosperity, about healings, about God's desires for their lives. People are sending in their SEED faith monies .. their last dime like God is a Lottery Czar!
Folks lose faith and others avoid faith because of these money preachers. The people's blood will drip from their hands in Hell.
God WILL judge them.

I AGREE - Jesus will beat their 'backsides' and make them feel embarrassed to ask for money,( for whar, in part is due to their mismanagement in the use of it) Loggerbuck I don't stand in mans nations I stand in his - May you prosper and not those who 'seem to bye and sell The Lord.- To be a christian is to live in their 'camp' - I would rather live in his. - God Bless and shalom

@anthfantastic Thank you for your kinder words. These folks are not MY church. All over the world people see these creeps (yah, I don't have a high opinion of them either) and think they are practicing Christianity. They are not.
Jesus actually BEAT their asses (Money Changers) and threw them out of the temple.
Money preachers of course could not survive if Christians didn't give them money, which says something about the health a large segment of Christians.

It's an expression of apocalyptic eliminationalist religious ideology that derives from the Latter Rain revival of the late 1940's - whose adherents believed that an end-time army of young, supernaturally endowed Christians would cleanse the Earth of all evil, including people deemed by movement believers to be evil.
