Warehouse Carpet was one of the regular advertisers on WBNG-TV who relied on the station's large coverage area. There are locations in Johnson City, Elmira and Ithaca New York.
The owner was fun to work with (at least for me, Sue the producer may have a different opinion) in that he was always busy running the business in between takes and very particular on how he was shot. I needed something to keep my attention when the job is to shoot rolls of carpet.
This spot is an example of one of the jingle packages the station would sell to advertisers. Once every couple of years a jingle company would come to town and advertisers would be brought in to have a "custom" jingle written for them. If they liked the jingle and bough a fixed dollar amount of advertising the jingle was "free." This spot uses the jingle for the close.
In reality the jingles were usually repurposed in different media markets.
