The establishment claims that either Man or the ever popular climate change caused the extinction of the Neanderthals. However, extrinsic agents are incapable of justifying the thousands of background extinctions in the history of life on Earth. The only way to account for the hallmark of background extinctions -- selectivity -- is with extrinsic mechanisms. The only extrinsic mechanism a species has is aging. What no species can avoid is getting old. A species becomes old when it conquers its invisible enemies -- viruses and bacteria -- through the process of natural selection. Once a species reaches that ominous milestone, it is ready to die.
Neanderthal died when his population pyramid overturned. One day, there were more adults than youngsters. Humans are undergoing a similar process today. Judged by this objective standard, we are an old species.

"it's a prediction"
.
My dear Xero, if you do not feed your dog for a year, will he die? If you answer yes, is that a prediction (the future)? Or are you basing that inescapable result on your experience (the past)?
.
"it's wrong"
.
In Science, there is no right or wrong. There is just rational and irrational.

@bgaede no it's a prediction, and it's wrong... and according to my understanding, there's still one more neanderthal left to kick the bucket, that'd be you gayde

Typical, just when things look to be coming together with electric rope, gods(i define the gods as the planets in our solar system) and universe, we are going to fizzle out and disappear.

"not a prediction then what is it?"
Well, if I 'predict' that a dragon will swallow the Earth, will you wait an eternity to 'prove' my alleged 'prediction' wrong? Does this qualify as a prediction at your monastery, dog: "The wolf will eat Little red."?

If it is not a prediction then what is it?
Science predicts things all the time. What is science to you? Please provide a consistent encompassing definition.

1. "I don't agree with your prediction that humans will go extinct."
.
Of course not! Because it ain't a prediction! But you would need to learn the fundamentals of Science to understand that, right? In Science, we don't do predictions.

I don't agree with your prediction that humans will go extinct. Look at Japan for an example. Just because there are more old Japanese than young Japanese does not mean native born Japanese will become extinct. It just means the population will adjust to sustainable levels.

@MathfreePhysics It is growth expectations that are at the root of the problem. They're almost all wrong. Who lends money at an interest rate to a non-profit organization like a government? Governments would have to raise taxes all the time to actually contain debt and almost none of them are proposing serious tax increases to cover their ballooning deficits. The fact the government debt was ever considered by ,allegedly "very smart" people in finance,"safe" is a mystery to me.
