Where were the people of Eire demonstrating in their millions.
What people do not know too is that Bru Na Boinne excavations produced objects which were removed and not seen again?
Our servants are thieves- nothing but thieves, and we allow it.

Q: 200 yrs, 2k yrs, 5k yrs ago. How did u become Darren from Ireland?
A: Your ancestors.
They made these things which our government r so careless about. They gave us our identity. There r better solutions 2 the transport problem. Solutions that do not entail the destruction of our heritage. Solutions other than (wait 4 it) more roads. They r trying 2 fix todays problem with yesterdays solution. But unfortunately they have become so involved in now that they have forgotten what makes us Irish.

@tarafoundation Watch my video entitled "Roman Ireland." There have been Roman artifacts discovered in Ireland; burial sites, coins, and weapons. Interestingly, some of these archaeological finds were concentrated at none other than Tara.
And to think they could have just bulldozed over evidence of Roman influence in Ireland... it breaks my heart.

@14GloryofRome14 Believe me, if there was tangible Roman influence, it would have been kept intact. It's Irish influence the Irish government is afraid of.

A horrible. Did it happen?

@deLapin91 Sadly, it did. A sad reflection on the contempt in which the Irish government holds our heritage.

Tara is a 'site' with no buildings to be shaken by road rumble. The motorway does go very close and has interfered with pagan sites - but they would never have been discovered without it. It dies not destroy Tara itself, there is nothing really there to destroy except low hills with overgrown mounds and ditches. Though I agree that the law allows heritage destruction. Who knows if that is not Church using 'Mammon' against ancient pagan heritage?

@Saiaton Tara is not just a 'site' - it is part of an integrated landscape that encompasses the entire Tara-Skryne valley and beyond. Its value in historical and heritage terms is incalculable. What is the good of a road project uncovering historical sites if they are hurriedly dug up and summarily destroyed like Lismullin henge and others?
