@TheSunRecords Heck no! He was a blues man. Better licks than BB King!
-
@bellgardens53 Nope, I had no idea of that.Did you know Pat Boone is Rockabilly?
-
@TheSunRecords Btw, did you know that Elvis "I Beg Of You" is Rock-A-Billy? Hahahahahaha....though I like to call it Rock and Roll but who am I to tell?
-
@TheSunRecords I'm not testing you. I just mean wiki sucks. Big time! Must be a bunch of morons there typing whatever cross their bewildered minds.
-
@bellgardens53 You are testing me... To me Hasil Adkins music is raw & primitve Rock n' Roll. But I guess it's not totally wrong to call it Rockabilly.Fats Domino's music is Rhythm n' Blues (in New Orleans style) and Rock n' Roll.
-
@TheSunRecords I guess it's lack of knowledge. I mean, I guess some people call Hasil Adkins and Fats Domino for rockabilly. It would not surprise mer. Btw, I just googled Hasil and saw he passed away 2005. RIP. In our favorite site Wikipedia they say his music was country, rockn'roll and blues though at the same time he belonged in the rockabilly genre and sometimes played primitive jazz.. Any comment?
-
@bellgardens53 Yeah, I doubt it too.LOL.But why are they calling everything Rock-A-Billy?It can't be anything else than the lack of knowledge of this particular music.
-
@TheSunRecords Maybe, but i doubt. I think some people mix it up and call all 50's music with a beat for rock-a-billy. I believe they have to upgrade their knowledge a bit, to say the least. And 60's music is called, anyway in the early part of that decade, for pop. pop=popular music and that can be anything musically AFAIK...but in common language it is...pop. LOL
-
@bellgardens53 Maybe they're reffering to Johnny and Dorsey Burnette's sons: Rocky and Billy? Who knows...

Written by Joe Thomas. Elvis recorded it September 3, 1956 for his second LP, Elvis. It is available on Elvis 56, Elvis, The King of Rock n Roll: The Complete 50s Masters, and Artist of the Century.
