well, if you wanna get into numbers, Devandra's only a few years older in age, and though Nic's first full length was recent, Devandra's first was 2002. Neither of them could really be considered the other's protege or anything. Shit that comes out usually sounds like shit that came out around the same time anyway, thats just music's history

it may not be his natural speaking voice, but thats how he sings, so, naturally, its his singing voice.
lesser note, maybe devandra banhart sounds like Nic.

i hate to say it, but his voice sounds too similare to devendra banhart to go unnoticed. do you think this guy knows how much like devendra he sounds? you can tell he's putting it on as well, thats not his natural singing voice.
