i wonder, Socially inadequate genius, or Socially Adept Idiot. i wonder what all of you who are the second would choose if you could. a small tip is that the first choice offers a great deal more options then the second.

not true. im chinese and my parents had me and my brother have piano and violin lessons since we were 5 or 6. and our parents let us quit when we wanted to! they just wanted us to try something different ;P however i actually kept playing the violin till college cuz i actually really loved it :]

i dont think she's forced. she probably had a little push but other than that, i think she plays because she truly enjoys it! look how she plays, she's actually into it!

@jennx18. One hour per day is far from being constant. And your assertion toward her mother is very much out of line.
Rachel's parents are very fine people who nurture their daughters love for piano and music. Do you think a parent would buy their child a $30,000.00+ Grand piano if they had to force her to play it.
I doubt that you would either!

i know one hr is far from being constant..and by the other vids..ive already realized her love for piano IS genuine so i no longer have a need to doubt...and i have no comment towards the grand piano..cuz i want one myself to play it..i just know some very young kids with talent who hate piano yet r forced to play it

jennx18, Hey thanks for taking the time to view some of Rachels other videos. She does a pretty good job of trying to hide her smiles while playing at home. Her audition videos she maintains a more serious expression. But playing at home as in this video she can be seen to break out in big smiles while playing.

But sadly there are some children who are forced to learn and that reflects toward those who are Not forced.
