This is an edited version of the 60 minutes segment about the high tech heist of over 100 million credit cards numbers stolen form TJ Maxx shops. In the video you can clearly see one of the software used: KIsMAC, an extremely powerful wifi stumbler

    No, WEP is by far too weak.

    KIsMAC can crack a WEP key in seconds (+ collection of data)

    AirCrack-ng 1.1 is even faster

    What you NEED to do is:

    Switch to WPA2

    Do not use a dummy password, i.e the ones found a dictionary or crack lists

    Make it 15 or 16 ch mini (takes up to 63),with Numbers, Upper , Lower and Signs.

    If you reach 25 ch , you'll have 3.93634E+52 possibilities.

    @ 10M PSWD / Sec = Few 10's of Billions years to Crack. Good luck.

  • You really need to periodically change the network key.
