Two months earlier on December 17th, 1955 it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; and on February 18th it peaked at #1 {for 2 weeks} and spent 24 weeks on the Top 100...

On that very same night Elvis Presley was appearing on the CBS-TV program 'The Dorsey Brothers' Stage Show' where he was performing "Heartbreak Hotel" for the 1st time on national TV...
