Brit sports cars have something that italian or german ones dont have.
true sporting character.
not machoism or bravado as in ferrari or porsche.
lithe and lively feel to them.
driving this Europa is wayyy more fun that being in a Dino or similar.
Im getting one like your's with the Renault engine that sound's sooooo good

Lovely car - my favorite Lotus, I think. I almost bought one for restoration a few years ago, but got an original Porsche 914-6 instead. Now that the Porsche is completed I'm still looking for an S-2 to restore. Love the music from "The Avengers" too! Very appropriate since Tara drove an S-2.

One my all time favorite Lotus' from when I was 7yrs old and had a blue Matchbox S1 Europa- ..still have it- the suspension & wheels quite worn with love.
This vid (love the dare-devil go faster theme music!!) does justice to the mystic of this particular model. Very skillfull of you to get it out of the garage gently without stalling or killing the clutch!!
The song of the Gordini touch is rorty and nasal, a glorious flatulent samba .
Simply lovely.

Marrant, mais ton moteur fait nettement moins "Renault" que celui de ma S2.. ;) ;)
En tout cas, merci pour ce petit tour sympathique... Et longues vies à nos autos...

@kirkconway Thank you for your kind comments. This little noise is due to the belt, that was not enough tightened.
