This is a 1985 M1010 CUCV Military Ambulance with the famous 6.2 Detroit Diesel motor, turbo 400 transmission and NP 208 transfer case. This vehicle was located at the Naval Weapons Base in South Carolina and was purchased from a Govliquidation (GL) auction. Really nice vehicle! I want one myself by the way! The other vehicle is an M1009 CUCV which is also owned and operated by Ian and came from another GL auction. It drove the distance from South Carolina to Palm Bay with no major problems other than a faulty bright/dimmer switch which we by-passed without difficulty. We reached speeds of 65 - 70 miles per hour during most of the trip. Great purchase Ian!

  • that's a nice truck. thanks for the shout out! much appreciated.

  • The truck is being restored. Right now it really only needs a new dash pad and some new paint and it will be complete. I've invested a lot of time and money to make sure all the systems operate 100%.

  • very nice truck. are you restoring that truck? or just keeping as it is.

  • got any videos where we can hear the engine running hard?

  • I want one.

    Make a cool camper.

  • drove one of these before the M-997s were issued...if you want to roll an ambulance over, this is your ride...could never figure out the red vinyl interior...hee hee
