Walt Disney originally envisioned the monorail as a practical form of public transport for the future. Unfortunately, the monorail came about during a time when America's - and particularly Los Angeles' - love affair with the automobile was increasing, and monorails in the United States came to be associated only with Disney's theme parks shown here in Anaheim, California.
Disneyland California is owned by Walt Disney Company.who also owns the California Adventure and Walt "Disney World" Resort in Orlando, Florida. Disneyland rides include the "Tower of Terror", the "Haunted Mansion", "Splash Mountain", "Peter Pan" "Alice in Wonderland", and Disney Princess and are located in the "Magic Kingdom" theme park. Roller Coasters include "Space Mountain", "California Screamin", and the Matterhorn Bobsleds. Fantasmic is a fireworks.
Disney Trivia:
"Mickey Mouse" was created in 1928 by Walt Disney.
"Gabriel Iglesias" has joked about his adventures at Disneyland.
"Hannah Montana" is a television show on the Disney Channel.
Michael Jackson starred in "Captain EO," at Disneyland
"George Lopez" starred in the Wonderful World of Disney Christmas movie "Naughty or Nice".
"Hannah Montana" California Screamin references the roller coaster at Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim, California
Other nearby theme parks includes "Universal Studios" and "Six Flags".

  • When its like 7 in the morning and i get in the monorail with my family and i hear that announcer, I always get so excited. Its like I get this bubbly feeling in my chest and feel all like 'Oh my god, I'm in Disneyland. Nothing's gonna stop me now.' I cannot stop smiling and bouncing in my seat because I just feel so giddy because I'm on the the express way to the happiest place on earth.

    Disneyland will never get old...<3

  • @NickMessager You've got that right!!!!

  • I miss Disneyland so much!! This video brings back memories!!

  • @sanebear68 its constricted for a reason. if disney bought more land before the surrounding area became occupied with residential and commercial zones, disneyland would be a lot bigger than it is now. sure disneyworld may be more wide open and might have more to offer, but sometimes, there is just too much to offer and not all can be done in a week. honestly, i would prefer a tighter space because i find the density interesting and easy to live with and you can do a lot in a week at disneyland.

  • @mmcclain88 my only problem with disneyworld: its always raining so i usually cant ride rides like splash mountain or kali river rapids or big thunder mountain railroad when the rain starts pouring not to mention fastpasses are less available at disneyworld than they are at disneyland. unlike any park in disneyworld, disneyland's fastpass supply doesnt get exhausted whenever there is a huge crowd plus on a hot day which is like 100 degrees out in sunny southern california water rides are perfect

  • I watch this video everyday because I miss Disneyland so much! And one of my favorite parts about Disneyland is the excited and giddy feeling you get from riding the monorail!

  • That man was Jason Segel?!?!

  • I'm not sure.... I remember once when I was just a little boy.... we went there all day and all night. I believe it opened at 8 am. the year was around 1993. We got there at 7 and we left at 1:00AM when they kicked everyone out of main street. (Back before we could afford passes.)

  • @RocketRodder Doesn't the park open at 8 for hotel people only?

  • I miss the monorails going to the Disneyland Hotel..... THOSE were good times..... ._.

  • @fancysnake1 Sometimes, they open at 8, and in the off season, they may even open at 10.
