Bombay Terrorist attack - Media responsibility

The terrorist nightmare in Bombay brought many lapses into focus. One of the chief issues here was media responsibility. Or the lack thereof. I'd like to see the media take responsibility for their actions and the effects of their unscrupulous attitude to human suffering ans death...

why cant we just sue these news channels. who knows, Major Sandip Unnikrishnan and the other NSG martyrs may have been shot dead by the terrorists because they were forewarned of them entering. What stops a PIL against the news channels, charging them with culpable homicide?

We've been with the lawyers for a few days now. We're taking this one step at a time and on 2 fronts.

a) Get the media to take responsibility or provide a valid reason for endangering people and promoting Fanatical propaganda. Getting them to admit to the screw up.

b) The minute responsibility is ascertained through this PIL - we have already paved the way for the family members of people that lost their lives, the public at large and the Judiciary to then move this to the next level.
