This is a tune I wrote in October 2010 called "Madrid." It is a very melodic blues that was inspired by Otis Spann, my fascination with tenths and how I felt at the time; a bit confused and lonely. I wrote this piece because I had been invited to perform in the Boogie Woogie Jubilee held in Barcelona, Spain. The reason I called it Madrid instead of Barcelona is because I felt that Madrid just fit more. It is being performed here at my show I created entitled, "Chase Garrett's 1st Annual Blues & Boogie Woogie Piano Stomp" which was held on November 12th, 2010 @ The Englert Theatre in downtown Iowa City, IA

MAKE PLANS NOW to attend "Chase Garrett's 2nd Annual Blues & Boogie Woogie Piano Stomp" which will be held at the Englert Theatre on November 4th, 2011 in downtown Iowa City, IA and will feature: Fabrice Eulrey (Paris, France), Mark Braun (Ann Arbor, MI), Carl Sonny Leyland (UK) and myself Chase Garrett. Hope to see you there!!
