This is probably going to be one of the most detailed NCAA Football 2011 Gameplay Reviews that you will see on the internet. My video is 20+ minutes long, and will go over some of the positives and negatives of NCAA Football 2011 on the field.

The video will mainly focus on the following topics:
1. Blocking.
2. Gang Tackling.
3. Glitches.
4. Pass Interferences.
5. Secondary Defense.

Although each of listed topics above have their good and bad points, you should know that this is actually the first year since NCAA Football 2006, that I'm not going to sell the game on Ebay. Of course, I am an Xbox Live player, so if the game "cheeses out" after the sim players stop playing, then I may have to sell it down the road, and get Madden. But currently, NCAA Football 2011 is a pretty decent game that is worth playing. That's not to say that NCAA Football 2011 doesn't have issues.

1. Blocking - If you haven't yet played NCAA Football 2011, you're likely going to notice a good change in the blocking abilities of the players. Although the change is good, for the most part, the blockers can go "stupid" and end up folding your entire play.

2. Gang Tackling - Yes. It's in the game, but only kind of. The annoying thing about gang tackling that EA doesn't seem to get is the fact that during certain animations, the ball carrier and the individual engaged cannot be engaged by another individual. For example: If you're being tackled forward, there will be some instances where other defenders attempt to push you back, but cannot interfere with the animation that you are in. If I am being truly honest, the gang tackling in this game is a joke, and isn't even half way there.

3. Glitches - They are extremely evident. Players will sometimes morph through each other, fake field goals work every time your opponent selects field goal block, a certain play has the QB stuck in a hand off animation, and although I didn't put it in the video, if you toss the ball to your RB on an option and the ball falls to the ground, your RB will freeze, before attempting to go for the ball. This is all extremely annoying, and mind you, are the glitches that I have only noticed for myself. I am sure that there are many more glitches out there.

4. Pass Interference - Plain and simple, it's not in the game. EA definitely needs to patch this problem, because I haven't seen one pass interference called, even when I am blatantly interfered with before the ball reaches my receivers hands.

5. Secondary Defense - Sometimes they are smart and sometimes they're taken straight from the movie 'Idiocracy.' The ball is thrown by the QB and even though the defenders see that the ball has been thrown, they will sometimes stick to their man, until the ball reaches the hands of the wide receiver. This is a definite problem that needs to be fixed!

Overall, this is the first year that I won't be selling NCAA Football 2011 on Ebay, but that's not to say that it doesn't have some HUGE problems. In fact, I am pretty pissed that I payed $60.00 for a game that has such common, easy-to-see issues.

EA Sports has to have game testers, right? If these testers are half decent (no offense), they would have noticed the issues that I have brought to your attention today. These issues are OBVIOUS, and all of them, but 1 (the glitch where the QB gets stuck in a hand off animation) showed up in a single game. Like I said, most of these issues happen every single game, and if you pay close attention, you will begin to notice them and get frustrated at them, just like I have.

  • @23Tev Lol true. But you can only do so much ;-) I should have never have had to worry about spinning in the first place. ;-)

  • This is the worst review of all time. And no for $60 bucks you should not be picky. Is $60 bucks and you want real life gaming. Is a fucking video game numbnuts. No video game ever ever ever is going to be glitch free or have amazing gameplay. Either your mom buys your games or you on welfare to think that for $60 fucking bucks you should get what you see exactly in real life...Stop trying to be a hero like other idiots making dumb videos. Get a fucking life

  • @NYGiants4Natic I love your comments because they further support and promote my video. You do realize that the more comments a video has, the higher it ranks on Youtube? :) So keep commenting :). By the way, Backbreaker has the physics pretty well setup, so there's no reason why EA Sports can't do the same thing. NCAA 11 is the best it's been in a long time, so I am pretty happy with it.

  • @professionalblogger As far as your comment on Backbreaker goes... yeah it has the physics down and the game PLAY itself is very realistic. BUT there is a huge sacrifice in it. The user controls are complete SHIT.. Juking takes a few extra steps (button wise) to preform anything... Graphics I don't care too much for, but the gameplay as far as play selection and things like that go... it kind of sucks as well.

Madden is still a lot more fun than Backbreaker, but no where near as realistic.

  • @SirBoxer03 Oh. I totally realize that. I sold my copy of BB after day 1. Lol. But in terms of the tackles and the physics, it plays way better than Madden / NCAA. That's not to say that BB doesn't have some major flaws and holes though, because it does.

  • ok the blocking seems very realistic to me as even the best linemen in history of the game miss blocks that when u break down on tape, as ur doing here, are obvious blocking assignments, ive seen it time and time and time again

  • @professionalblogger i have a question if you raise pass iniferrence does that make it more realistic?

  • @professionalblogger u spelled psychic wrong

  • @professionalblogger use different sliders!! use versuz sliderz!!

  • SPEED!!....my BIGGEST problem with this game.....if I have 99 speed I shouldn't be run down by a linebacker with 84 speed....RETARDED!!.....and Road to Glory has ALOT to improve on!

  • My biggest issues are LBs and Defensive lineman that can jump 20ft in the air and knock down a pass that is supposed to go to a WR 30 yards down field. The fact that my offensive lineman never block the other teams DEs and no PI calls also pisses me off. Oh and have you played it on all-american? The AI cheats and its obvious.

  • i dont get why everyone is coming on here and bashing this guy he made some good points and yes you can't have everything the same in madden/ncaa as you see in real life but alittle more realism to the game i mean seriously they need to address things in the game we are paying them for roster updates essentially on madden and ncaa was pretty good this year but EA should pick there game up no doubt but i dont expect it to be an exact duplicate of a real life game its just impossible to simulate
