I flew this aircraft from LAX to SYD on Feb 12, 2010 and then returned from SYD to LAX on March 2, 2010. I also flew it in October 2009 from LAX to ATL. The fully lie-flat seats in business class are really neat, however, the layout makes it very difficult to see out the window. Don't get seat 1D or ones by the bathroom. Seat 1D is bad because you only get one window to look out of and you have turn your head about 100 degrees to look out the window. The other window seats are pretty good in Business Elite. I like the space for laptops and for food. It has plenty of power outlets - one for your computer, and a USB charging port, which is nice. You have no place unfortunately to store your luggage under your seat...everything MUST go in the overhead bins. I prefer Delta's lie-flat seats in business class of its 767-400LR aircraft better.

  • According to Delta's website, the airline schedules only 777's to SYD at this time. It's definitely a great plane to fly that long of a trip on!

  • Its a 777-200LR 767-400LR doesn't exist . its called the -400ER

  • How much are the seat per flight? Also do you get a discount or do you just pay entire price?

  • Love it! Two queens flying Business Class...

  • @2204Alpha Most of those have been with 767-300ERs, not 767-400ERs. Pay attention please.

  • @ImmortalSynn actually they have done several military charters from California to Australia, New Zealand and the Norther Mariana Islands using the 767 in the past.

  • Weird they were boarding from 1L rather than 2L, any particular reason that day?

  • @funnorthwestboy

    1) There's no such aircraft as a 767-400LR

    2) Delta's never used its 767-400ERs to Australia

    3) This is a 777-200LR, which has always done that flight for them.

  • By odd coincidence, I rode this very plane into LAX from ATL on 2/12, before you boarded in LAX. I sat in seat 6C, at the opposite end of the cabin, on the other side, but center. It was a nice seat and the f/a's seemed to pop out of the galley regularly to make sure my drink glass was filled. It's incredible to see the boarding process for the very next flight, as I imagined it on its way to SYD many a time over the next 12 hrs. It was ship N702DN, 'Spirit of Atlanta'.

  • it is boeing 777-200LR

  • @funnorthwestboy 767s can't fly that far.
